Lessons full of love
"I grew up in Mexico. My parents were both entrepreneurs, so I didn't get a traditional Mexican upbringing. As a child, I learned that I could become whatever I wanted. My mother was an engineer, a full-time mother of three and she ran her own business. My father, a true salesman, was never afraid to be himself. The beliefs of my parents had a big impact on me as a child. Their lessons will stick with me.”
Change of heart
"For me, Dare to be you means facing your fears, understanding where they come from and moving on. In Mexico, I had it all: a loving family, friends, a nice flat, a car and my own business. In 2019, during a backpacking trip in the Netherlands, I instantly fell in love with the country, so I started looking for a way to make it my home.
In 2020, I got a Dutch scholarship. I sold everything and left Mexico. Now, four years later, I am grateful and very happy with the life I’ve built here. Both Mexico and the Netherlands feel like home."
