Photographer and designer Elles Rodenburg is also the founder of Days of Bloom, an interior brand with an extensive wallpaper collection. We collaborated with Elles when designing our trade fair stand. Now it’s time for a conversation about growth, blooming, India, and ginkgo.
“I cherish every season of life: the full bloom, but also the quiet phase of growth that isn’t immediately visible. In my own life, this means trusting the process of growth. There is a time for everything. Your theme, the word ‘Bloom,’ feels like an invitation to grow.”
“With Days of Bloom, I want to bring beauty and inspiration. But true beauty emerges when people can grow, feel seen, and receive fair opportunities. In India, I witnessed a lot of poverty. It deeply moved me that not everyone has the space and chances to grow. That’s why I want to expand my collection with handmade products to create a positive impact. The Bloom Together project is my first step in that direction.”
“No matter how difficult it is, you can always grow towards something. That thought inspires me immensely.”
“With this project, Days of Bloom gains a deeper meaning. Everything is falling into place for me now. Bloom Together is a guiding light on the horizon, something to strive for. No matter how challenging, you can always move towards growth. Every step, no matter how small, brings me closer to my mission. My family and friends provide the solid foundation for my personal growth. They give me a safe and loving base, allowing me to pursue my dreams with confidence. I feel this deeply when I wear my great-aunt’s ring, my mother’s bracelet, and my grandmother’s necklace. A symbol that truly resonates with me is the ginkgo leaf. It represents wisdom and resilience, reminding me every day that growth and blooming are always possible.”
